Welcome to Inversion Studios! I’m excited to share my passion for Pilates and Yoga with you through my teaching and new products that I am launching. I will be updating useful links on these practices, as well as my current teaching schedules around Boulder, Colorado. About Whitney

Whitney Grafa, PMA-CPT:

Whitney was introduced to Pilates in Texas, where her mother (a physical therapist) uses it for rehabilitation in her physical therapy clinic. Whitney then moved to Boulder, CO where she received a B.A. Degree in Integrative Physiology from The University of Colorado. While in Boulder, she began doing Pilates on a regular basis at The Pilates Center, and immediately noticed the positive changes it was making in her health, mind, and body. Her belief in the Pilates Method was further confirmed after experiencing a roll-over car accident that left her with shoulder and neck pain. Practicing Pilates as a form of rehabilitation allowed her to gain a deeper compassion for those suffering from chronic pain. She has also been able to use her Pilates to further enhance her performance in other physical activities such as running, skiing, and yoga. Whitney received her diploma from The Pilates Center Advanced Teacher Training Program and became a certified Pilates teacher through The Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) in 2009. She loves the relationship between Yoga and Pilates, and received her PowerYoga Certificate from Corepower Yoga in 2011 to enhance her knowledge of the relationship between the two disciplines. She went through their Level 2 training in 2013. After teaching in Pilates studios and Physical Therapy Clinics in Texas and Chicago, she moved back to Boulder to start her career as a Teacher at The Pilates Center. She currently teaches in Boulder, as well as travels to teach privates, classes, and PMA workshops nationwide.

Her overall goal is to make Pilates accessible to EVERY BODY, by encouraging her students to feel safe and successful! She continues to study and practice Pilates daily, and then passes her new knowledge on to everyone she meets… The more people that know The Method, the happier this world will be!
